Tennessee Wesleyan University has twice hosted Poetry Society of Tennessee at a fall convocation. During each occasion, two society members read selections from their works and participated in a Q&A with faculty and students in attendance. Connie Jordan Green and Natalie Kimbell read selected works in 2025. This year, Alan May and Cynthia Robinson Young read. An open mic followed their Q&A session.

The event, which is well attended, provides an excellent opportunity for students to experience poets sharing their work and to explore aspects of writing, from process to career. Plans are already underway to extend the partnership into 2027.
