About Season After Season

Season after Season, the author’s debut chapbook, is a journey through her delight in nature, family, and the four seasons. Some of the poems are about a season; others only mention the season in which they take place; still others cover more than one season. We move from season to season in our lives, and the book reflects the author’s celebratory attitude that there is good to be found in every season and when we are in a season of pain or sadness, we should hold onto hope, for a better season will surely come.

About the Author

Since retiring in 2006, Melanie Harless has written a regional travel column, and published nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and photography. Her work has been published in anthologies, journals, and magazines, including award-winning poems in The Tennessee Magazine and in the annual anthologies from The Poetry Society of Tennessee called Tennessee Voices. Journals include The Avocet, Monterey Poetry Review, The Bluebird Word, Your Daily Poem, and others. Her debut chapbook, Season After Season, will be forthcoming from Finishing Line Press in January 2027.
